Cleveland fire, HAZMAT crews responded to fuel spill at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport | #ESC_LLC #HAZMAT #Airport #Fire | Fire officials originally said 10,000 gallons of fuel spilled behind the maintenance facility that is behind United Airlines. As of 7 a.m., fire officials said the spill is now estimated at 5,500 gallons.

Michele Dynia, a spokesperson for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, said the fuel tanker was involved in an accident with another vehicle near a hangar causing the fuel spill.

The fuel leak has been stopped, according to fire officials. The spill is not believed to be in the sewers, fire officials said.
