Privacy: Cover Those Webcams

Privacy: Cover Those Webcams | #ESC_LLC #Privacy #Cameras #Smartphones | The practice of hacking web cameras is nothing new, but I fear that the general population remains largely unaware of the practice. Acquaint yourself with this trend by reading the story via the link below. https://wp.me/p97JNV-1cq

The story is about a Russian website that specializes in video voyeurism. When this story was written, they featured 53 webcams in Ireland where it was plain to see that many of the victims were at home lounging, some possibly in their own bedrooms.

“Although we published our own coverage of this privacy issue back in 2014, and although the Russian website in question is gone (another one or more I’m sure has taken it’s place), it goes without saying that it’s good practice to cover those cameras,” says John Larkin, Senior Partner with ESC of Greater Ohio. “Watch the videos because although these news segments were recorded some time ago, the information in them is priceless. If you need advice on a video surveillance issue, feel free to contact myself or one of our other experts.”
