Four departments respond to fire at Martini’s Restaurant | #ESC_LLC #Restaurant #Fire # | “We had a call for a smoke investigation at 5:23 p.m.,” said Saybrook Fire Chief John Jyurovat. He said when firefighters arrived at the Lake Road building it was confirmed as a structure fire.
“The fire was contained to an upstairs office,” Jyurovat said. He said the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s office is expected to arrive early this morning to investigate the cause and origin of the blaze.
Firefighters from four area departments battled a blaze at the old Ashtabula Country Club which presently houses Martini’s Restaurant, said Saybrook Fire Chief John Jyurovat.
Jyurovat said there is no indication of foul play but he likes to utilize the state fire marshall to pinpoint fire origin and cause.
