Firefighters were dispatched for a fire alarm at 6:14 p.m. at WoodSpring Suites at 137 Kempsville Road. The call was upgraded after the fire department learned there was a fire on the fourth floor, according to a news release.

“Sometimes the risk of fire and the monetary value of a facility demands more than just fire detection,” says John Larkin, Senior Partner with ESC of Greater Ohio. “When this is the case, or where the risk of losing life is at it’s most, an automatic sprinkler system is almost a must.”
