John Larkin, Senior Partner with Electronic Systems Consultants LLC of Columbus, Ohio , recently was featured on Out n About Columbus on Channel 6/28. Here are some great outtakes as well as the video from the program.
The program, which aired in the Columbus area, celebrated John’s career in the United States Air Force between 1982 and 1991 when he served as a Fire Prevention Specialist.
Between the years 1991 and 1995, John worked for Silco Fire Protection at which time he was responsible for developing new plans reviews, training and inspection of sprinkler systems, kitchen systems and portable fire extinguishers. He also was responsible for new business development.
Between the years 1995 and 2001, John also worked for Siemens Building Technologies where he was branch manager. He was responsible for the branch’s P&L ($5 million in revenue), planning, hiring, coordinating, controlling expenses of all departments, maintaining positive customer relations, letter writing, problem solving, sales management, commercial sales management and administrative management.
John also worked for Security Corporation of Columbus between 2001 and 2007 where he was Ohio Regional Manager. He was responsible for the overall success and growth of a two branch commercial fire alarm and security system business with a 4 million annual budget that covered the entire state.
Between 2007 and 2010, John also worked as an Integrated System Sales Repersentive with SimplexGrinnell in Dublin, Ohio, where he was responsible for district sales efforts. It was his job to maintain and grow the government market and oversee the entire district key government accounts for fire and security systems to include direct end-user sales and district bid market opportunities that cover federal, state and city within our district coverage.
It was in 2011 when John formed his own systems integration firm, known today as Electronic Systems Consultants LLC. ESC is a certified MBE, DBE, EDGE and VOSB integrated fire and security company. ESC provides installation, service and design and consulting work in the commercial and government market place. It is John’s position to oversee all aspects of the company’s success, from the day-to-day sales and service operations to new business development and mass marketing,
